A plant can only be as good as the soil it grows in. We know how important it is to grow food in mineral dense pesticide- and contaminant-free soil which is why we take great pride in growing our Microgreens in some of the cleanest and vital soils found on earth!
Our Microgreens are made to order and grown with care by our partner Cavaleiro Farm an agroecological farm just outside of Toronto. We gather the soil and start the growing process only once we receive an order and have found a home for the Microgreens to flourish in.
Microgreens are the original superfood! In fact, they are the most nutrient-dense plants you can add to your meals. Imagine the whole lifeforce of a plant packed into the smallest version of itself and available full of life right in your own kitchen.
If you are a team leader, friend, or family member who cares about the health of those around you, then giving the gift of our Microgreens is a thoughtful sentiment with exponential benefits!
We do the work in preparing your Microgreens. Plus, we've made the care instructions super simple so that you'll only need to take a few steps to help your Microgreens thrive.
Scientific research proves that these tiny seedlings, harvested and eaten when they are just a few inches tall, are a real superfood packed with antioxidants and other health-promoting nutrients.
A 2010 study in the Journal of the American Society for Horticultural Science reported that Microgreens harvested seven days after germination have the highest antioxidant capacity. We know that antioxidants defend your cells from damage caused by harmful molecules known as free radicals. Accumulated free radicals cause oxidative stress increasing the risk of diseases like type 2 diabetes, heart diseases and cancer. By incorporating Microgreens into your diet you can boost your blood level of antioxidants and reap their many health benefits.
These edible seedlings are a superb source of Vitamin C protecting you from free radicals. They are also loaded with Beta-Carotene which reduces the risk of certain cancers and eye disease.
Place opened box on the window sill or close to sunlight in the kitchen.
